Two-Pocket Folder Cover Contest: Official Rules

NOTE: If you would like your school to participate in the contest, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR PRINCIPAL OR SCHOOL ART TEACHER!

The contest is open to all Religious Education, Catholic Elementary School and Home School students in the Spirit Catholic Radio listening area (Omaha/Lincoln/Western Iowa, Grand Island and Norfolk).
All participants will enter their designs to Spirit Catholic Radio - KVSS by Friday, March 26th, 2010, before 4 p.m.
It is the responsibility of the teachers to mail or deliver the entries by the deadline.

The winners will be determined by the Spirit Catholic Radio - KVSS staff.
All entries become the property of Spirit Catholic Radio - KVSS.

The designs will be based on the following theme: "Scenes From the Gospel"

Students choose a scene from the Gospel to illustrate. Please include the text of that message with the book, chapter and verse from the Gospel that accompanies the scene. (Book, chapter & verse can be written on the back of the illustration.)

Please limit size of designs to 8" x 8" (minimum and maximum).
Please limit design to 4 colors.
Designs can be entered via hand drawing.
Please submit entries only once.
Important!! Please include: Student's name, address, phone number, e-mail address, school name, grade and art teacher's name with each entry (and any other information you may feel is pertinent).

Schedule

Entry deadline: Friday, March 26th, 2010, by 4 p.m.
Winner announcement (Spirit 102.7 FM, 91.5 FM & 98.3 FM): Friday, April 16th, 2010, on the Spirit Morning Show (6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.) and repeated throughout the day.
May 2010: Designs go to press!
August 2010: Folders, complete with winning designs, will be delivered to schools and Religious Education offices.
Important: Special delivery requests need to be made by August 1, 2010.
